Osler House

From May to September, the venue offers a fabulous summer party BBQ package for the ultimate garden celebration. Osler House also offers three smaller indoor spaces well suited for meetings, smaller conferences, and away days, as well as a large bar and function room ideal for private celebrations and gatherings. For those seeking a blank canvas to personalise their wedding day, this venue is a hidden gem offering flexible space without city-centre prices. The venue spaces can be hired individually or combined for the ultimate space!

Located in Headington in the grounds of the John Radcliffe hospital, this art deco venue is steeped in history. The venue is named after the highly regarded Canadian doctor, Sir William Osler, who is widely considered the father of modern medicine. He pioneered bringing students out of lecture halls and taught instead at the patient’s bedside to enhance learning and nuture experience. He also created the first-ever residential training programmes for doctors. When not in use as a venue, the University’s medical students still enjoy this historic building as their clubhouse.
